BAMSAR MINUTES
Minutes of the July, 2003, BAMSAR special meeting, held at Westhampton Beach. Thanks to Chief Tim Dahlen for his
hospitality.
Present: Group Moriches, Center Moriches, Westhampton Beach. Welcome to Dennis Casey, the new Commander of CG
Station Shinnecock. We're looking forward to working with him.
Excused: None.
Old Business: Dive Rescue 2 discussed. Light Salvage: 13-15 September, 2003. Everything moving along. So far,
16 are committed. Invitations have been sent out to other agencies. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served
basis. Any department or unit that intends to participate in this class must have the names in to Tim Dahlen immediately.
You may fax the list to him at 325-8333, or e-mail them to him at: TSDahlen@optonline.net. Failure to do so may
result in your not being able to attend.
We could use some manpower to help with incidental work details associated with hosting the DR 2 course. If anyone
is planning to attend in order to help out, please let Tim Dahlen know. Thanks.
Paperwork is ready to go up to the FASNY Credit Union. Two things are holding it up- the IRS needs to verify our
Tax ID number, and FASNY needs to send us the correct application for FASNY membership. (You, or, in this case,
the organization, must be a member of FASNY.)
