hospitality.

West End Water Rescue Coordinator was welcomed.
Excused: Mastic Beach.

Center Moriches will have 8; Eastport, 4; Bellport, 1; East Hampton Town Police, 3; Mastic Beach, 3; Mastic, 2-5
persons, and Tim Dahlen will dive as well. Classes will be at the Eastport Fire House, with water work at Ponquogue

New Business:
Representatives of Atlantic Diver, a new dive shop on William Floyd Parkway, Shirley, stopped by to introduce themselves,
and acquaint us with their business.
Letter to be sent to Hand-Aldrich Ambulance in reference to Columbus Day weekend, inviting them to our drill, and
informing them of the presence of our member Ambulance Companies at the site.
Coverage is needed for the districts whose boats will be used at the drill in October. Mastic and South Country
response areas will need to be covered for the weekend, as their boats will be tied up at USCG Shinnecock.
Eastport could use help in hosting duties (breakfast/lunch preparation, "go-fers", etc.). Anyone wishing
to help out, please contact Matt Schultz, e-mail: lifireman@optonline.net.
Paul Massey has written up a pre-plan for incidents at Moriches Inlet. He'll bring it to next meeting, so we can
review it. He will then set up a meeting with the chiefs whose districts surround the Moriches Bay, to discuss
the plan.
Some discussion was held in regard to the fact that many chiefs aren't receiving notification of what goes on in
our meetings and deliberations. Therefore, it was suggested that hard-copies of the minutes be sent to all of the
chiefs in the organization, to be read at either the chiefs meetings, the department meetings, or posted on the
department bulletin board. We'll try that, starting with this month's minutes.
A complaint was made regarding the website, specifically that it wasn't being kept updated, as far as pictures,
drills, etc. Minutes are regularly posted, but not much else. We'll look into seeing what we can do. Tom F. has
been doing as well as he can with it, from Florida, but he can't possibly do it all.
